Today marked the first day of Our World Underwater, “The Midwest’s Largest Dive & Travel Expo.” The beautiful thing about this show is that they allow exhibitors to pull their trucks right in to the hall! This means two things:
- You don’t have to pay insanely high rates to have someone else move your stuff from your truck to your booth.
- You don’t have to lug everything from the parking lot to the floor. AMAZING!
Having been in both situations, we give major kudos to the Donald E Stevens Convention Center for making setup just that much better!
This is our 3rd Our World Underwater show, and the booth is looking better each time! What’s really fun for us is seeing so many of the same faces year after year (and often times multiple times per year, for DEMA attendees). We also don’t mind hearing, “I bought a couple shirts from you last year.” After all, someone has to pay for Jeff’s large collection of exotic teapots.
The show floor was open from 5PM-9PM tonight. Even with only 4 hours of wheeling and dealing, we were able to meet some really cool people and sell some sweet dive apparel.
Stay tuned for our next update!
